The Road You Can’t See
When the path isn’t clear, but you have to move anyway
Have you ever driven on a dark, lonely road at night?
Maybe through a forest… or a stretch where there’s nothing around.
If you have, you’ll remember the feeling.
There’s nobody around. Just tall trees.
You can’t see them clearly, but you can hear them rustling in the wind.
You try to look around for someone… anyone.
But the darkness makes it impossible.
Maybe you hear distant animal sounds.
Enough to make your grip on the steering wheel tighter.
You look ahead.
But all you can see is a few meters of road…lit by your headlights.
And a thought creeps in—
What if something worse lies ahead?
You press the pedal harder.
Not because you’re confident…but because you want to get out of there.
And somewhere in that rush, another thought hits you—
What if this road doesn’t even lead where I want to go?
You feel lost.
That’s life.
Every now and then, you’ll find yourself on a road like this.
You won’t know where it’s leading.
You’ll look for people to guide you.
Sometimes you’ll find them.
Most times, you won’t.
Especially when you choose to follow your own path.
The road will scare you.
You’ll want to turn back.
But then you’ll realize—there is no other way.
You’ll try to find certainty—clarity, a clear map.
But just like that road…all you’ll see is a few meters ahead.
So how does the car find its way?
By driving.
With whatever little it can see.
Meter by meter.
Turn by turn.
And eventually… it reaches.
Life works the same way.
If your destination is clear—keep moving. You’ll get there.
And if it’s not…Even better.
You might end up somewhere bigger than you ever imagined.
I did.
So don’t wait for the entire road to be visible.
Just keep your eyes on what you can see.
And keep moving.
Especially when it’s dark.
Clarity doesn’t come before the journey.
It comes from it.
